Custom glass work begins with a conversation to talk about colors and types of flowers which evolves into brainstorming with the customer to achieve the desired work. This custom glass work used the very popular poppies as the main flower. Individual flowers are first created by aligning broken red glass into the shape of a poppy and securing with silicone glue.
London Bridge
The poppies are laid out on the glass with larger flowers closer to the left side of the frame and smaller flowers displayed on the right to show distance.

The customer wanted London Bridge in the background so I created a template of the bridge, laid it on the glass, and used stained glass spray paint for the blue sky. I then covered the sky to highlight the bridge in frosty white paint.
